Madikheda Dam is a multi-purpose dam situated in Shivpuri district, Madhya Pradesh, India. The main dam (Earth Dam with Central spillway) across the river Sindh of length 1070m with a maximum height of 62m is constructed to harness a catchment area of 5540SqKm. This project is proposed to provide irrigation facilities for 1,62,000Hec. The Ukaila canal would irrigate an area of 16695Hec, Mohini Canal of 50081Hec, Left bank canal of 20685Hec and Harsi high lever canal of 74653Hec respectively. The installed power generation capacity would be two units of 30MW each.
